A Survivor’s Paddle.
A 202 km Rideau Canal voyage for Breast Cancer Awareness: June 5-13, 2026
Resilience on Rideau.
In June 2026, I will kayak 202 km across the historic Rideau Canal—from Ottawa to Kingston—over 8 days to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer initiatives.
After successfully summiting Mount Kilimanjaro as part of my advocacy, this expedition represents the next chapter in demonstrating that survivors are unstoppable!
This journey will combine endurance, storytelling, and community engagement, with daily content, local activations at lock stations, and a final public event in Kingston.
Kilimanjaro: Summit of Strength
About the Climb
In February 2026, I solo-submitted Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa’s highest peak - to honour my final year of remission from breast cancer. This journey represented the resilience, hope, and courage that define life after cancer. With me, I carried a flag with the names of survivors, lost loved ones and those still fighting. Each step toward the summit was to honour those still navigating their own challenges and celebrate the strength that carries us all forward. This campaign raised awareness and funds for Rethink Breast Cancer, supporting young women with the resources, community, and advocacy they need to thrive beyond diagnosis.
